Location:
The Cacao Biological Station is located in Guanacaste
National Park in the northwest part of the province
of that name. It is on the slopes of the Cacao Volcano.

Access
problems:
Roads are asphalt as far as Quebrada Grande, from there
a gravel road reaches the Río Góngora
bridge. In the rainy season one can continue on foot
or horseback the 5 km to the station. In the dry season,
with 4WD it is possible to reach the area known as Los
Naranjales, 0,5 miles from the station.
