Access:
TRACOPA serves Las Tablas from San Isidro de El General, where a minibus goes to Altamira. An alternative is to take GAFESO from San Isidro to Buenos Aires and then the minibus. From Altamira it is a 1.25 m walk to the station.

Bus schedule:
Las Tablas-Altamira, 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Altamira-Las Tablas, 5:00 am and 3:00 p.m.

Travel times:
The trip from San Isidro is 3 to 4 hours, re-routing from the Paso Real bridge towards Coto Brus is 9.3 m. You then take a left turn for Las Tablas, from there it is 12.4 m on a gravel road passable year-round with 4WD to the station.
