The
forests on the upper slopes of Costa Rica's
mountains and volcanoes are frequently draped
in mist and clouds. Costa Rica counts with excellent
naturalist guides and biologists that will help
you discover and understand the essence of a
forest and its occupants. Costa Rica’s
forests range from the tropical dry forest to
very humid montane, in which each of these ecosystems
are classified with the purpose of maintaining
it’s important habitat, the biodiversity.
There are various organizations and numerous
people who have taken interest in maintaining
these natural areas intact for tourist interest,
conservation or investigation. These areas form
part of the state’s protected areas because
the government helps out with economic resources
for its administration.
